Software developer, startup guy,

I like making software that
empowers people and businesses

While my formal education had nothing to do with writing code, I quickly realised that it's fun to create software products which make people's lives easier and their businesses stronger.

I started my own software company in June 2011, and since then have developed an expertise in marketplaces at Hubble and in payments at The Optimus Pay group.

I am never short of opportunities and work on multiple projects at once, including selling Standing Desks and making bakery management software.

I like to create products that solve problems which customers will pay for, and enjoy life while doing it.

I was educated in Shropshire and graduated from University College London with a first class honours degree in European Social and Political Studies. As part of this degree, I was fortunate to spend a wonderful year in Seville, Spain.

When I am not working, I enjoy long-distance running, cycling and perhaps above all, performing at weddings and other celebrations with my talented funk, soul and rock 'n' roll band, The Fitzroy Six.

My home is the Isle of Man, a beautiful and unique island in the middle of the Irish Sea, which is really a playground for my family's dog, Reggie.

I enjoy travel and would like to try a location-independent lifestyle, particularly as the prospect of Brexit looms on the horizon.
